Citation Guidelines

The Proper MLA citation for a short story in an anthology should have this format:

Author of Story. "Title of Story." Title of Book. Name of Editor. Edition (if given). City of Publication: Publisher, Year. Page numbers.

For example,
Henry, O. "The Gift of the Magi." The Little Big Book of Christmas. Ed. Lena Tabori.
New York: A Welcome Book, William Morrow and Company, Inc., 1999. 310-319.

Please be sure to use the correct punctuation and format as shown in the example above. It matters.
If you have any questions about how to cite your story, ask your teacher or the librarian.
