The Project Team

 

Dr. Marilyn Arnone serves as Project Director. She is Research Associate Professor at the School of Information Studies, Syracuse University, and is Director of Educational Media for the Center for Digital Literacy. More on Marilyn


Dr. Ruth Small is Co-Project Director. She is Laura J. and L. Douglas Meredith Professor, Director and LIS Program-School Media Specialization, and Director of the Center for Digital Literacy at Syracuse University. More on Ruth

 
Mrs. Abby Kasowitz-Scheer is Senior Project Consultant. She is currently a librarian in the Learning Commons at Syracuse University Library. She joined the SUL as Head of Instructional Programs in 2000. She has written many articles for the Educators' Spotlight DigestMore on Abby

 

Mr. Thomas Hardy is Technical Director for the S.O.S. for Information Literacy Project. He and his organization, Data Momentum, works with the project director and team on all aspects of design, development, and implementation. More on Tom's organization

 

Several graduate students have worked on the S.O.S. for Information Literacy project in a variety of areas from training, beta-testing, closed captioning, evaluation and front-end assessment to name just a few of the many tasks. All have moved on to careers in school media, public libraries, or information fields. They include Kori Gerbig, Susan LeBlanc, Rabecca Pierce, Anand (AJ) Jain, Rajiv Alexander, Maduri Asokan, Kannan AMD, and Donna Boyce-Martollo. Aubrey Munson also contributed to many of the training elements on this site. Susan Padjen is the current graduate student working on the project.
