Description:
This is a lesson to introduce students to an appreciation of literature, in the reading of Henry Climbs a Mountain by D.B. Johnson. This book traces the journey to jail on the matter of slavery which Henry was opposed to. The book is an appreciation of one of the most important figures of American letters, Henry David Thoreau,who wrote about civil disobedience and the peculiar institution-slavery.
