The Pond Ecosystem: an activity of exploration
Description:
A pond is a small body of water that is still. It does not flow like a river, creek, or stream, nor does it have tides like the sea or ocean. There are saltwater ponds and freshwater ponds. And, there are ponds that are only around during the spring when the weather is rainy. This unit of study will focus on freshwater ponds that are around all year. Teams of students will engage in activities that are interactive and enjoyable which will enable them to acquire knowledge of the pond's ecosystem.
