This lesson is meant to encourage students to appreciate the short story as an important form of literature. The librarian will discuss the short story as a genre and in particular, discuss and explain the element of conflict. Students will work in small groups to discuss various thought provoking questions that will encourage the exploration of the concept of conflict in literature.
