This unit was designed as a way to introduce the concepts of Earth Day to 3rd grade students. The lesson was planned in collaboration with both the Social Studies and the English/ Language Arts departments and is meant to teach the students about and get them interested in environmental issues at an early age. Students will work in groups to search the internet and encyclopedias to research and present their issues and at least one solution to their problem.
