Prior to this lesson, students learned about the value of using a variety of search engines (in addition to Google!). Students were split into groups and compared and contrasted search results from varying search engines. In this lesson, students will learn how to create pertinent keywords when conducting searches. Students will also be reminded of the importance of using more than one search engine. Students will work independently to create keywords for their specific search. This class is researching different career options and each student will have the opportunity to research a career that is of interest to him/her. Emphasis will be placed on vocabulary used to generate desired search results.
