Description:

Evaluating information is a very important life skill. Many students go to the Internet first when seeking information. The purpose of this lesson is to foster discussion about the value of a web site. 

 

Goals & Objectives:
Students will learn to recognise biased or incomplete information.
Students will begin to think about the accuracy, value, etc. of a Web site.
Materials & Sources:
See handout which is provided with this lesson plan.
Procedures:
This can be given as an assignment with class discussion to follow. 
Assessment:
Through follow-up discussion, assess whether the goals of this exercise (e.g, recognizing bias, accuracy, value, etc.) have been met.
