                      In order to give you an opportunity to learn about the chemistry

                 of different elements in an enjoyable way, you will prepare a description

                 of one element written as an autobiography.  All of the biographies will

                 be compiled and made into a booklet.  Your "life story" should include

                 major scientific information including your physical properties (color,

                 density, melting point, boiling point, phase at room temperature), your

                 major uses, what family or group you belong to, how you react with

                 your neighbors, # of valence electrons, how you interact with other

                 chemicals, etc.
