There are three parts to your journey .
(1) You will explore web sites and information books under 'Road Maps and Guide Books' on the menu to the left to find out more information about the Erie Canal and its history:
(2) You will spend some time in the library looking at legends and stories about the people who lived during the early years.
(3) The library media specialist will read you some passages from some of these works and you will be encouraged to take one or more of them along in your suitcase to get a better 'feel' for the people that you would meet.
Check out the section on your left labeled 'What will you carry in your suitcase?' for a list of these books on this subject.
Then proceed to 'How will you tell your friends about your trip' on the left.
