What:  You will reasearch a Spanish-speaking country with a partner for three class periods in the library.  We, as a class,

are going to determine which country would be the most appealing to visit based on the information presented

from each partnership.  So you want to be an advocate for the country you are researching because the partnership

that wins the contest will earn 10 extrabonus points!! 

 

How:  Your assignment is to write a report about the country  you chose,  in paragraph form, and give an oral presentation

in front of the class the day the project is due.  The report should be at least one page long, double spaced, and have a

12-point font.  

 

You must also include a poster to enhance your presentation, which could include drawings or printouts.  The poster should include either:

 

1. Your country's flag (or)

2. Geographic map of country

 

Where/ When:  The dates  in which the class will research in  the library are Wednesday, October 24th - Friday,

October 26th.

 

**The project will be due on Thursday, November 8th, 2007.**

 

Your report must include, but is not limited to: 

 

-introduction: grasp the class' attention with a creative, enthusiastic and exciting intro!

 

-capital city  (*or cities : Sucre AND La Paz)

-all neighboring countries  (or countries that are nearby if the country is an island)

-geography:  (rivers, lakes, mountain regions, etc)

-current population

-current president/ highest ranking government

-famous people from that country  (musicians, scientists, religious / political leaders, etc)

-tourist attractions: large cities, national monuments, historic sites, museums, beaches, etc

 

-conclusion: "The Big Finish."  Convince the class to select your country with reasons why it is most appealing!
