Description:

Lesson will begin by showing how to get to this web-page by using the in-focus machine for everyone to see.



Working in pairs or individually, students are to write down an interesting fact they read and write down where it was found.(Example-300's)



Challenge them to get a fact for each dewy decimal category.

000's 100's, 200's, 300's, 400's, 500's, 600's, 700's, 800's, 900's



Share your most impressive fact you found with the class or assign students to small groups (4-6 children in a group)

Students will review what they have already learned about the Dewy Decimal

System while exploring and learning about Kidsclick.org web-site that is organized by the dewy decimal system too.

 

Students will skim articles to find interesting facts and write information in their library notebook.

Procedures:

Students will listen for instructions and by using the in-focus machine, I will show them how to get to kidslink.org and model what I expect from them.

 

Kids will either work in pairs or individually and explore this site and record findings.
