Coming of Age Music Selection

Description:
Student will select 2 scenes from a coming of age novel of his/her choosing. Student will next locate, select and download 2 non-royalty music from free download sites to enhance the themes of the 2 selected scenes.
Materials:
- Copies of Gary Soto's poem "Orange"
- Copies of photos of Lauryn Hill
- Internet access
- Links to royalty-free music sites (pre-selected by teacher-librarian)
