Do you love to travel? Is there a place you've always wanted to visit? What information would you need to gather in order to take your dream vacation? This lesson is a collaboration between the library media specialist and the social studies teacher. Students will learn how to find the information they need to take a trip.

Materials for this lesson include a library with computers that are connected to the Internet. Travel brochures and travel magazines are also helpful in order to grab the students.
1. Get students' attention by displaying travel brochures, travel magazines, and videos from tourism Websites.
2. Brainstorm about what types of information are required for planning a trip.
3. Students will use print resources to find out information about their travel destination. Each student must answer the following questions:
